Background Info

Hello my name is Karyn Findlay and my partner Stephen Batterham and I  have been photographing cemeteries in and around South-East Queensland and Northern NSW for years and have finally decided to create a database to allow others easy access to the information.  I hope that it will be a useful tool for others interested in genealogy and history.

All the transcriptions have been taken from original photos and  in the case of cemeteries in the Warwick Shire transcriptions have been crossed referenced to the local Council's burial records.

To see if a cemetery has been photographed click on the link for cemeteries. I am also happy to do look ups on the Warwick Shire Council's burial register so just send me an email. (ktish64@gmail.com)
 

Photographs

We are gradually including photographs for every cemetery and if they are available online you will find the links on the cemetery webpage.  If the photos are not yet available online for a particular cemetery feel free to drop us an email.  (ktish64@gmail.com).  All images can be freely used for any personal non-commercial use.  Permission must be sought for any other use.

Unless stated otherwise this is simply a list of headstone transcriptions not a record of burial.  I am happy to correct errors in our transcriptions but will not make changes if it is the headstone that has the wrong information.  I am usually more than happy to add a note if this is the case although this is at my discretion.  Any of my transcriptions appearing on other sites such as Interment.net are retained there without my permission.  These transcriptions are not updated or corrected, so please don't ask.  (ktish64@gmail.com)
